The company's latest 10 Gb/s laser offerings debut as the market's first full range of industrial temperature devices supporting all long wavelengths. According to the company, the availability of industrial temperature range lasers—these are rated at -40°C to +85°C—is critical as 10-Gb/s links migrate from indoors to the outside plant environment and as line card port densities continue to increase. The lasers incorporate an XMD-compliant, 1,310-nm and 1,550-nm micro-cooled transmitter family suitable for use in SONET SR1/IR1/IR2 and 10 GbE LR/ER interfaces.
