Measuring 6-mm square x 1.5-mm high, the CHP1232-PM power amplifier module is claimed to be half the size of comparable solutions. It features a linear three-stage design for PCS CDMA handsets and infrastructure systems, WCDMA 3G handsets and wireless local loop (WLL) subscriber units that operate in the 1.85- to 1.91-GHz range. Typical features include operation as low as 3.2V, 30-dB gain at operating power, 35% linear power added efficiency, and +28-dBm output power. Volume quantities are priced at $7 per unit.
