The WLANPlus 802.11n-compliant concurrent dual-band SoC family with integrated host network processor supports operation on both 2.4-GHz and 5-GHz bands simultaneously. The family includes three devices: the MtW8200 concurrent dual-band 2x3 SoC, MtW8201 single-band 2.4-GHz 2x3 SoC, and the MtW8202 single-band, 5-GHz 2x3 SoC. All three support data rates up to 300 Mb/s. In line with the IEEE’s draft 2.0 specification for 802.11n (Wi-Fi) certification, the family is fully compliant with IEEE 802.11a/b/g-based legacy devices. Optional features include an ML detector, advanced FEC scheme, optimization for low latency applications, STBC, enhanced Quality of Service through implementation of EDCA Plus Admission Control, and optimized bandwidth exploitation through implementation of Fast Link Adaptation.
