A 24-port 10/100/1000 Ethernet MAC, the XRT95L524 offers intelligent Quality of Service (QoS) and traffic management features for metro access service cards, enterprise core switches, and metro Ethernet boxes. The first member of the company's new EXcalibAR family, the MAC delivers non-blocking wire speed performance, an oversubscribed bandwidth of 4 Gb/s via a SPI-3 interface, loss-less flow control on valid jumbo frames, and supports transmission lengths up to 5 km one way. It also supports up to 192 flows, each with up to eight classes per port. Additionally, the MAC operates at 1.8V core with 3.3V tolerant I/Os over an industrial temperature range.
