Offered as an integrated quadrature modulator and IF-AGC amplifier, the RF9678 is designed for the transmit section of wideband CDMA applications. The device has an operating range of 2.7V to 3.3V and modulates baseband I and Q signals, amplifying the resulting IF signals while providing a 55 dB gain-control range. Other features include digitally controlled power-down modes, adjustable current consumption and AGC linearity, IF frequencies of 380 to 570 MHz, and balanced I/O for LO, I&Q and IF signals. The device is available in an MLF-16 package and is priced at $1.83 each/10,000.
