Deemed a first, the ADF4113HV PLL synthesizer integrates a high-voltage charge pump handling voltages up to 15V. Designed for applications with voltage-controlled oscillators, the device allows for high-voltage VCO control directly through a passive loop filter, thereby eliminating the need for active loop filters. The ADF4113HV is pin-compatible with the company's other integer-N PLL synthesizers and complements the ADF4113 in those applications requiring a large tuning range. Other features include an operating range from 200 MHz to 4 GHz, a power supply range from 2.7V to 5.5V, two selectable charge-pump currents, and digital lock detectors. Available now, price is $2.46 each/1,000. ANALOG DEVICES, INC., Norwood, MA. (800) 426-2564.
