Designers of Universal Serial Bus (USB) devices for PCs and PC peripherals have a reliable solution for power distribution and overcurrent protection in the TPS204x and TPS205x power distribution switches. The devices' independent switching capabilities give designers flexibility to create more reliable USB designs than with alternate methods, it's claimed. The switches are suited for use in PCs with USB hubs and in USB peripherals.The TPS2041/2/4 devices are single, dual and quad switches and feature negative enable logic, while the TPS2051/2/4 switches feature positive enable logic.
