Described as the world’s most integrated RF front-end module for Wi-Fi, the SE2593A provides a complete 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz WLAN multiple input, multiple output (MIMO) RF topology including all circuitry required between the transceiver and the antennas. The module packs 2.4-GHz and 5-GHz power amplifiers, low-noise amplifiers, a power detector, transmit-and-receive switch, diplexers, and associated matching components in a LGA package measuring 5 mm x 6 mm x 1mm. It reportedly replaces up to 20 components that would be required to implement a discrete 1x1 MIMO solution. Other features include transmit power levels of +19 dBm at 2.5 GHz and +16 dBm at 5 GHz, and an integrated power detector with a 20-dB dynamic range. Price is $4.25 each/10,000.
