Designed for the 2.12 Gb/s Fibre Channel and 2.5 Gb/s InfiniBand markets, the VSC7145 2.5 Gb/s serializer/deserializer is compatible with AgilentÕs HDMP-263x family at less than half the power. The chip provides the SerDes function for a 10-bit, SSTL_2 or SSTL_3 interface with 8B/10B encoded data between 1.05 Gb/s and 2.52 Gb/s.All versions of the VSC7145 operate from 1.05 Gb/s to 1.26 Gb/s and from 2.1 Gb/s to 2.52 Gb/s. Other features include low jitter generation, cable equalization, on-chip termination, and reduced sensitivity to power supply noise. Price is $16.88 each/1,000.
