The FTU-2000 is a high-capacity, rugged, fault tolerant rack-mount enclosure designed for use as a telephony or telecommunications server. It comes with a 19-slot PCI/ISA (four PCI slots) passive backplane, yet can be configured with 6, 7 or 16 PCI slots. An optional power-segmented backplane is available. The enclosure also has dual-redundant 400W ac hot-swap power supplies (single or dual 250W 48 vdc optional) to let the system continue in operation if one supply goes down. The three main cooling fans (90 to 120 cfm) are hot-swappable without the use of tools.
