The noncontacting angular position sensor (NCAPS) Thin Profile 7000 series unit measures less than 8 mm thick without housing. In a fully sealed package, it provides true 360° absolute rotary position feedback and up to four functional output channels. The device can be factory programmed for pulse-width modulation (PWM), analog, saw-tooth, or dual-triangle outputs. Based on a phase-shift principle, the 7000 series is not sensitive to input power fluctuations. It has only one moving part and mounts directly to a wide range of shaft configurations. Additional features include self-diagnostics, ultra-low torque, and a sealed six-pin mating connector. The 7000 series sensor is also available as a thin-profile submodule without housing for use in OEM equipment. Available now, the NCAPS 7000 Series starts at $87 each in 1000-unit quantities.
