Designed to create a strong right-angle attachment point in metal sheets as thin as 0.04", the PEM R'ANGLE self-clinching, right-angle fasteners are claimed to be a cost-effective alternative to brackets and bent tabs. The line of fasteners includes Type RAA aluminum self-tapping and Type RAS steel-threaded models. Type RAA devices for thin aluminum sheets require a thread-forming screw for final assembly. Type RAS threaded fasteners can be installed in either thin aluminum or steel sheets and accept standard machine screws. Available thread sizes for this type fastener include #4-40, #6-32, M3 and M4.
