The Elite CompactPCI enclosures are claimed to be low-cost, low-profile chassis that address EMC, cooling and ease of manufacturing. Based on a flexible design concept, the cPCI enclosure converts from a rack-mount unit to either a desk-top or tower unit.
The chassis is fully compliant to IEEE 1101.10/.11 specifications with horizontal mounting for 6U x 160 mm cPCI cards from the front and 6U x 80 mm I/O cards from the rear. The standard front is powder coated a dark grey color, but can be modified to a wide range of color options. The unit is designed to hold 1'' x 3.5'' and 1'' x 5.25'' HH devices, mounted vertically.
Air flow is from front to rear to address card, device and PSU cooling requirements. Standard four- and six-slot 6U cPCI or CTEL (H.110) backplanes can be mounted into the unit.
The chassis comes with a standard, 350W ATX power supply. Overall construction is said to meet the requirements of both CE and FCC standards.
