Providing ease of installation and safe operation, the D3D miniature door switch snaps into a panel and employs a standard, removable crimp connector for wiring. The switch is available in both plunger and lever configurations, both of which are said to require low operating force for lower mechanical stress. Ensuring reliability, the component's gold crossbar contacts are protected by drip-and-spill resistant sealing in the plunger version. Other features include wiping-rocker contacts for silent operation and to eliminate the possibility of arcing. Single-unit prices start at $1.31 each. OMRON ELECTRONICS LLC, Schaumburg, IL.
