Double-Sided Connectors Provide High Pin Density In LED lighting

AVX’s open-ended card edge connectors provide a miniature, high-pin-count density solution for use in linear LED strip lighting. Designed without plastic end-walls to minimize length, the 00-9159 series connectors feature a double-sided configuration for increased pin-count density, a central keying rib for strength and alignment, and a tin-to-tin contact interface for financial economy. Measuring 1 mm in length per number of contacts, the 00-9159 series is available with four, six, eight, or 10 contact positions with a voltage rating of 300 V ac. The four- and six-position connectors are rated for 3 A, and the eight- and 10-position connectors are rated for 2.5 A. Supporting standard 1.6-mm printed-circuit board (PCB) thicknesses, they are rated for use from –40°C to 125°C with a durability rating of five cycles.
