The company’s DS3 access product line has been enlarged to now include a family of outside plant (OSP) panels based on the DDPM module series. The panels are said to provide a monitored demarcation point for a fraction of the cost associated with minimum point-of-presence-type (M-POP) products. Standard version DDPM-2 modules are suitable for general outside plant use and are available with front-to-rear feed-through and in/out path through the rear of the module configurations. Mounting options include high-density vertical mount, low-density horizontal mount, universal mount, and a bracket for wall mounting. For outside applications that require protection from lightning, the DDPM-2GT module integrates gas-tube protection and separate copper bus bars to ensure grounding in accordance with UL requirements. All DDPM modules are NEBS Level 3 Type 2 certified. Prices for DDPM-2 and DDPM-2GT are $45 and $55 each/100, respectively. TROMPETER ELECTRONICS, Westlake Village, CA. (800) 982-2629.
