Described as low-cost components, the BLM18KG series power ferrite beads offer high-current capacities, high noise suppression, and low dc resistance. They suit a wide range of applications including powerline filtering for dc power lines located in compact mobile equipment such as PDAs, navigation devices, digital cameras, and cell phones. According to the company, the components can manage up to two times the rated current of existing 0603 power beads. With ratings up to 6A, they offer comparable performance to larger, more expensive 0805 and 1206 power and wire-wound beads.
