For demanding fire-detection applications, the Model 760 flame detector relies on IR5 technology to sense infrared radiation in five discrete infrared wavelengths for early detection of both hydrocarbon and certain non-hydrocarbon-based fires. The instrument outputs alarm information via relay, current loop, or MODBUS over RS-485 and employs the Omniguard fire-event analysis algorithm for both detection and false-alarm immunity. General features include factory mutual, ATEX, and CSA-approved field-selectable sensing levels, self diagnostics, through-the-lens clarity checking, and NEMA 4X compliance. A standard Model 760 is enclosed in an explosion-proof, powder coated, copper-free aluminum housing and is also available in a stainless steel enclosure. Swivel-mount kits are available for either enclosure. VIBRO-METER INC., Manchester, NH. (603) 669-0940.
