Providing high-surge-current protection as a first line of defense in telecom applications, the latest member of the Delta family of gas plasma arresters (gas discharge tubes or GDTs) meets the requirements of GR-1361, RUS PE-80, ITU K.12, and YD/T940, 950, 1082, 993, and 694. The SL1411A series is a 2-terminal GDT that combines a high surge rating, up to 55 kA, with low-voltage clamping not typically found in comparable components. The lead-free and RoHS-compliant component can handle repetitive 10-kA pulses while maintaining a stable break-over voltage. For price, call LITTELFUSE INC., Des Plaines, IL. (800) 999-9445
