The company’s captive hardware, NutLok and StudLok, promises to simplify the assembly and field service of high-current, power-distribution cables. Both are designed to permanently fasten to FusionLug cable terminations or bus bars, resulting in a connection that does not fall off during assembly or servicing. They eliminate the need for loose nuts, screws, and washers and the problems caused by falling parts, which have to be retrieved from the system cabinet. Belleville washers are used for a tight lock, resulting in an anti-rotation effect and a better electrical contact. The internal-threaded NutLok and the external-threaded StudLok come in various sizes with standard and metric threads. Depending on thread size and quantity, prices start at $0.80 each in production volumes. CABLECO TECHNOLOGIES, Dublin, CA. (925) 560-0160.
