Through use of new materials and structure, the MA200D1 series of high-frequency ultrasonic sensors is said to deliver quicker response times and shorter ringing times, resulting in improved measuring accuracy. And the sensors’ sensitivity is said to be stable over a wide frequency band—over a 220 ±20 kHz band, the devices’ attenuation is said to be improved from –20 dB to about –3 dB, leading to an increased directivity from 7° to 20°. The series is designed to enable greater distance measurements for robots, factory automation systems, and household appliances at short distances. The ultrasonic sensors can also be used for detecting double-fed paper in scanners and copiers and double-fed bills in ATMs. Samples of MA200D1 are available at $17.80 each.
