Designed for use in flatbed and sheet-feed scanners, multi-function peripherals and imaging systems, the WM8146 chip is a true 12-bit, 3-channel linear sensor signal processor that interfaces easily to either CCD or CIS sensors. It also offers triple-channel color and monochrome signal processing. Other features include reset level clamping, correlated double sampling, differential signal processing, gain and offset correction, and a 6-MSPS high performance analog-to-digital converter. The device outputs 12-bit data in an 8+4-bit multiplexed format and is controlled via the firm’s standard serial interface.
