Claiming to deliver unmatched noise performance in a compact, low-profile package, the V626ME08 voltage controlled oscillator is designed for demanding SATCOM equipment applications. It generates frequencies from 2,200 to 2,700 MHz within 0.5 to 18 Vdc of control. Claimed to enhance the performance of any PLL, the new VCO provides a clean spectral signal of -96 dBc/Hz, typically, at 10 kHz from the carrier and operates over the extended commercial temperature range of -40°C to +85°C. And with its 1.1-to-1 linearity over frequency and temperature, the V626ME08 reportedly strengthens any digital radio PPL. It covers 500 MHz bandwidth with an average gain of 57 MHz/V and typically draws only 22 mA from a 5 Vdc supply. Output power is 7±3 dBm into a 50? load. Available in an industry standard MINI low-profile surface-mount package measuring 0.5'' x 0.5'' x 0.13'', the V626ME08 VCO is priced at $15.95 each in prototype quantities.
