The new 5 x 7 mm footprint for the company's line of VCXOs expands the choices available to designers specifying these timing devices for telecommunications and instrumentation products. The oscillators offer stable frequencies for use in PLL, clock recovery, refrence signal tracking, synthesizers, and frequency modulation/demodulation applications. The new VCSAT (5.0V) and VCSAXT (3.3V) VCXOs have stabilities from (25 to (100 ppm, pullabilities ranging from (50 to (100 ppm, and a temperature range of 10(C to 70(C or -40(C to 85(C. They also offer output symmetry of 40% to 60% at 2.5V over the entire frequency range of 1.0 to 52.0 MHz. Input current varies from 20 to 40 mA, depending on frequency range. The compact, through-hole VCSAT and VCSAXT VCXOs measure only 2 mm high and are available in bulk quantities, or on a 2,000-unit tape-and-reel.
