Said to be easily configured to meet specified needs, the 535 Series of CompactPCI enclosures can be used to house industrial, datacom and telecom systems. They are useful in developing prototypes of systems. The mid-rage, 19-inch, 9U rack-mount/benchtop chassis offer 21 usable 6U x 160-mm front-accessible slots and 21 6U x 80-mm rear transition slots in a package measuring just 15.75" x 17" x 12" deep. Constructed of 0.09" lightweight 5052-H32 aluminum, the enclosures weigh approximately 35 lb. without cards and support a variety of peripheral drives, allowing use of a combination of front-accessible and embedded devices.The sub-racks are compliant with IEEE 1101.10 and 1101.11. And the chassis is designed to support hot-swap and N+1 power options, with the unitsÕ 350W, front-pluggable power supply capable of handling ac or dc input. The backplane supports 32- and 64-bit PCI architectures. Other standard features include a monitored hot-pluggable fan tray with two 141 cfm brushless ball-bearing blowers. The rear panel includes an ESD jack and a ground stud in addition to an ac/dc power switch. Prices start at $3,195.
