Designed to secure telecomm equipment located in earthquake-prone regions, such as California and Japan, this new open frame rack meets Telcordia GR-063-CORE Zone 4 standards, using a test load of 1,000 lb. The rack employs a rugged, welded steel construction, with the base made of 7 gage cold rolled steel (CRS), while the rest of the rack is manufactured using 10 gage CRS. Multiple frames of the rack may be joined together by using four splice plates. The frames can also be secured to the floor using four 1" diameter slots. Four lifting eyebolts may be installed to facilitate movement of the entire rack once it has been fitted with equipment. The seismic rack has a MRSP of $550; delivery is stock to 4 weeks.
