The R series rocker switches satisfies agency requirements set by UL, CSA, VDE, SEMKO, NEMCO, DEMCO, FEMCO and SEV. UL. CSA recognizes the switches for 16A at 125 or 250 Vac, 1/4 HP, while other agencies approve 15/4A switches at 250V-T125 1E4 and 10/2A, 250V-5E4 ratings. Users can choose single- or double-pole models in seven different single- and double-throw maintained- or momentary-action configurations. The switches have neon or fluorescent illumination for on/off models, with a choice of six actuator colors and a choice of three case colors. The front panel bezel measures 0.094" x 1.260", and the switches snap-in mount into a cutout measuring 0.866" x 1.189". Depth behind the front panel measures 0.70". The switches have a maximum initial contact resistance of 20 m½, with a dielectric strength of 1 kVac and an electrical life from 10,000 to 50,000 cycles. Pricing for a representative on/off single-pole model with quick-connect terminals (no. R1101C2NBB) is $0.61 each/1,000.
