A new family of non-contacting angle sensors can perform 360° absolute angle measurements and selectable analog or digital outputs. With analog acquisition capability, the VX family will hold the current angle measurement in the event of a power spike or failure. Designed to withstand high EMC levels and sealed to IP67 for operation in demanding environments, VX series specifications include resolution to ±0.09° and accuracy of ±0.35°. Service lifetime is greater than 100 million operations. The product measures 0.88" in diameter x 1.2" deep. A microprocessor is incorporated into the VX for programmable digital, analog or pulse-width modulated output formats, self-diagnostics and instantaneous initialization of measurement direction, clockwise or counter-clockwise.
