Designed to detect mechanical vertical versus horizontal positioning, the D6BN series micro tilt sensors are housed in 2-mm gull-wing SMD packages. The devices measure 7 mm x 7 mm and consume 1 mA at 2.4 to 3.6 Vdc in operation and 1 µA in standby. Suitable for a wide range of applications, the components employ Hall-effect technology, rather than metal balls or mercury, to detect tilting over a range of 40º to 80º in right or left inclinations. Resistance to shock is 75g and operating temperature range is –10°C to +60ºC in 25% to 85% humidity, without any icing or condensation. In full-reel quantities, pricing is $2.52 each/2,500.
