Tailored for WiMax applications, the V844ME24-LF voltage-controlled oscillator (VCO) operates over the C-band from 3.25 GHz to 3.7 GHz and offers a phase-noise performance of -86 dBc/Hz at a 10-kHz offset away from carrier. It provides an average tuning sensitivity of 165 MHz/V and a typical harmonic suppression of –20 dBc. The VCO also guarantees an O/P power of 5 dBm ±2 dB over an extended operating temperature range from –40ºC to +85ºC and covers a 450-MHz bandwidth between 0.5V to 4.5V at a supply voltage of 8V with a typical power consumption of 20 mA. Available in an industry-standard MINI package measuring 0.5" x 0.5" x 0.22", price is $18.95. Z-COMMUNICATIONS INC., San Diego, CA. (619) 621-2700.
