Described as a good starting point for low-cost custom chassis development, the company's 4U Type 14, rackmount VME chassis promotes prototyping versatility via its modular design. It accommodates a wide variety of power supplies, drives, fans, and backplane options and employs width extrusions and unique depth extrusions to allow for size modifications. This design allows depth changes in 1U increments. Options include a PSU output from 150W to 500W, power supplies that can be mounted or hot swappable, and drives ranging from 1" x 3.5" to 6" x 5.25".
