The company has introduced two integrated devices that target multi-channel audio applications. The AD1836 coder/decoder (CODEC) chip, featuring six d/a converters and four a/d converters, supports multiple, digital, stereo channels with 24-bit conversion resolution and a 96 kHz sample rate. The AD1833 d/a converter offers six d/a converters, with a 192-kHz sample rate and 24-bit resolution for two channels, and a 96-kHz sample rate for all six channels. The AD1836 features a 108-dB dynamic range for each of its six d/a converters, and a 104-dB dynamic range for its four a/d converters. The AD1833 also has a 108-dB dynamic range for each of its d/a converters. The AD1836 is available in a 52-pin MQFP and is priced at $9.50 each/1,000. Available in a 48-pin LQFP, the AD1833 costs $6.80 each/1,000.
