Innovasic addresses Intel replacement

Albuquerque, N.M.: IC and microcontroller company Innovasic Semiconductor will provide replacements for Intel’s 80C186/188 family of microcontroller products. This announcement comes in response to Intel’s end-of-life notice in July

Albuquerque, N.M.: IC and microcontroller company Innovasic Semiconductor will provide replacements for Intel’s 80C186/188 family of microcontroller products. This announcement comes in response to Intel’s end-of-life notice in July 2006.

All chips will be available in current conventional and RoHScompliant packaging. The devices will be 100% form-, fit-, and function-compatible with the original. The first sample in the family—the IA186EB and IA188EB—are expected to arrive in Q4 of this year.
