The MAX17108 level-shifter enables implementation of gate-in-panel (GIP) technology in LCD panels. Employing a proprietary, high-voltage BiCMOS process, the device integrates a 10-channel, level-shifting scan driver that can swing from -12V to +38V and drive capacitive loads. It also packs a high-speed op amp to drive the LCD backplane and a linear regulator to provide the internal bias for a step-up controller. The op amp features rail-to-rail outputs, a ±200 mA output short-circuit current, 100-V/?s slew rate, and a 20-MHz bandwidth. Available in a 28-pin, 5 mm x 5 mm TQFN package, price starts at $2 each/1,000. MAXIM INTEGRATED PRODUCTS, Sunnyvale, CA. (800) 998-8800.
