Abetting Internet TV (ITV) and decoding of high-definition streams via terrestrial reception, the TV543 enters as the first single chip to deliver HDTV picture quality for H.264 broadcast and MPEG-4 Internet content. The device integrates a PNX8543x processor and a MPEG4/H.264 decoder to enable reception and decoding of MPEG4/H.264 SD and HD content, IP/Internet content delivery to the home, and the latest conditional access CI+ security standard. A unique software architecture allows the use of third-party software for advanced functions such as personal video recorders or DLNA-certified devices, i.e., home media servers.
