Reportedly, the MP1797A is the market's first and only 40G jitter analysis analyzer that conducts measurements on 40G transmission devices and systems in accordance to the ITU-T O.172 standard. The instrument supports the five most popular jitter measurements: jitter generation, tolerance, sweep, transfer, and frequency sweep. Its jitter generator outputs a 39.81312 GHz jittered clock with jitter modulation frequencies up to 320 MHz and modulation amplitudes up to 16,000 UIp-p. Additionally, the generator has a frequency offset function that varies from ±100 ppm. Using the MX179701A jitter measurement application software, the analyzer can perform all measurements automatically and the software can convert transfer and tolerance test results and display them in chart form. Pricing is available upon request and delivery time is 20 weeks. ANRITSU CO., Richardson, TX. (800) 267-4878.
