By using a separate sensor head connected to the amplifier via a flexible cable, the AP-40 series air pressure sensor can respond to pressure changes in just 2.5 ms. The unit employs a high-speed, negative-pressure sensing system capable of detecting differences in pressure down to one part in 1,000. An 11-mm high, two-color display provides air pressure readings in green when pressure is within acceptable limits and red when it departs from theses limits. Two npn outputs are provided to actuate alarms and control pressure, with upper and lower pressure limits automatically set via a front-panel pushbutton. Other features include an analog 1V-to-5V output and a chatter-prevention function. The sensor can be mounted onto a suction nozzle and requires no pneumatic connections.
