A new 100 x 33 resolution display has been designed to include a white or blue LED backlight. Measuring 80 mm x 35 mm with a viewing area of 67.15 mm x 25 mm, the module is useful for hand-held portable applications. With an operating temperature of –20°C to +70°C, and an operating voltage of 5V or 3V, the DV4900 works well in applications such as portable instrumentation either used indoors or outdoors. When FSTN fluid is used, the module sets a clear, high contrast black on white display. Pricing starts at $21.15 each/1,000. DENSITRON, Santa Fe Springs, CA. (562) 236-1803.
