By combining the firm's latest S3057 high-performance germanium multi-rate OC-48 transceiver with its previously announced S3052 and S3056 multi-rate devices, designers can complete high-speed optical fiber transmission needs. The S3057 is well suited for SONET-based dense wave division mutliplexing (DWDM) applications. The devices operate at Gigabit Ethernet, SONET/SDH OC-48, OC-12 or OC-3 frequencies. Jitter performance and power consumption is 6 mArms and 1.5W.
