Portable equipment and ac adapters often take mechanical shocks and are expected to continue operating. Good mechanical stability is what's promised with the firm's TLF range of common mode chokes for ac lines to help solve premature failure. With low current, high frequency and high current options, the devices range from 0.23A to 9A and 0.1 to 50 MHz, dependent on type. Inductance values range from 0.015 to 30 mH and present a value-dependent dc resistance of 0.03 to 4.5 ohms (max.). Including self-generated heat, the high current devices operate from -25°C to +105°C with all others up to 115°C. Applications include noise elimination in power supplies for portable PCs and peripherals, instrumentation, displays and telecomm lines.
