A new four-digit clock display, the TDCG1050, is said to maintain superior luminous intensity even under direct lighting conditions. With a typical luminous intensity of 4 mcd per segment at 10 mA and at a height of 10 mm, the display is said to maintain full visibility from a distance of up to 7 meters. And to further increase visibility, the device features a green emission color, a dark surface, untinted segments, and an active colon symbol between the second and third digits.The TDCG1050 provides common anode circuitry and is operational from -25¡C to +85¡C. For applications requiring an alternate design, floating dot point, common cathode, or multiplex mode versions are also available. A compact 14 mm x 40 mm design and a slim , 7-mm height make the display suitable for a wide range of applications, including video, audio and TV products, elevators, temperature displays, medical instrumentation, and balance displays. This is the first device in a new high-end display series from the company built on AlInGaP and GaN technologies. Pricing starts at $85 per 100 pieces. VISHAY AMERICAS INC., Shelton, CT.
