EMI Measuring Receiver Meets International Specs

Nov. 1, 2002
An EMI measuring receiver fully compliant with CISPR 16 part 1 (International Special Committee on Radio Interference), the SMR4518 spans the range of 9 kHz to 18 GHz. Targeted for use by EMC testing laboratories and military and automotive standards

An EMI measuring receiver fully compliant with CISPR 16 part 1 (International Special Committee on Radio Interference), the SMR4518 spans the range of 9 kHz to 18 GHz. Targeted for use by EMC testing laboratories and military and automotive standards and commercial EMC testing operations, the instrument's measurement accuracy is less than 1.5 dB over 9 kHz to 1005 MHz, under 2.0 dB over 1005 MHz to 2.0 GHz, and less than 2.5 dB from 2.75 to 18 GHz. Pre-selection and auto-ranging provide over-ranging protection on pulse measurements across the receiver's full frequency range. Sensitivity is increased by a preamplifier behind the pre-selection stage and, together with the low noise figure, enables accurate signal measurements from -26 to 137 µV. Storable functions include device presetting, measured data, frequency spectrum and tables, and others. Resolution is 100 Hz and frequency accuracy is 10-6. An 8.5" TFT color LCD display shows detectors, graphs and data simultaneously. Prices start at $61,780. SCHAFFNER EMC INC., Edison, NJ. (732) 225-9533 ext 225.
