Broadening the company's industrial LCD portfolio, four components expand size options with 5.7", 3.7", and two 3.5" models, each of which offers a set of advanced optics and enhanced features. These include transflective display technology that allows for higher contrast in outdoor, high-ambient lighting environments and chip-on-glass technology. The additions also introduce the company’s first VGA-based LCD modules in its mobile industrial size class. The LQ057V3DG01 5.7" landscape-mode VGA LCD module with a 640 x 480 pixel format display features 400 nits of brightness, a 600:1 contrast ratio, and view angles of 160° horizontal and 150° vertical. With a switchable VGA/QVGA resolution, the 3.7" portrait-mode LS037V7DW03 LCD module combines transflective display technology with symmetric viewing angles, antiglare coating, and chip-on-glass technology and provides a 480 x 640 pixel format. The 3.5" portrait-mode QVGA LQ035Q7DH07 delivers a brightness of 250 nits and a 240 x 320 pixel format, while the 3.5" portrait-mode QVGA LQ035Q7DB05 offers an alternative for palm-held devices. One-piece sample prices for the LQ057V3DG01, LS037V7DW03, LQ035Q7DH07, and LQ035Q7DB05 are $299, $144, $109, and $112, respectively. SHARP MICROELECTRONICS OF THE AMERICAS, Camas, WA.
