High cooling capacity, a small footprint and low noise levels are all said to characterize the Himod line of precision air conditioning systems. Offered in cooling capacities of 8 and 12 tons, the new front-access ACs require only 17 sq. ft. of floor space and are available with up-flow (ducted or free-flow) or down-flow (under-floor) air discharge. The systems incorporate a single compressor circuit, inlet centrifugal fans, and a scroll compressor to meet increasingly tighter specs for performance, noise levels and energy efficiency. They also are available in air-cooled, glcol or Glycool configurations with R22 or R4507C refrigerants, the latter representing a "green" refrigerant. In addition, the units employ heating and humidification components to precisely control temperature and humidity. Other features of the Himods include a selection of control packages and a backlit display. For more details, contact LIEBERT CORP., Columbus, OH. (800) 877-9222.
