New 15" and 18" stainless-steel, flat-panel monitors have been designed for use in locations requiring frequent washdowns. With a stainless-steel front bezel and elastomeric sealing system, the MPP 15 and MPP 18 monitors are highly resistant to the corrosives most commonly found in food processing, pharmaceutical, industrial and most laboratory environments. These 250-nit monitors, with an optional resistive touch screen, are sealed to the panel with a compression collar and high-quality elastomeric gasket. When properly mounted into a sealed panel, they are rated at NEMA 4X/IP65, and can be washed down with hose-directed water. MPP monitors are not painted. The steel chassis and bezel are surface treated and the aluminum rear cover is clear anodized for complete corrosion resistance. This rugged construction makes the displays resistant to shock loads as high as 30g half-size, for 11 ms maximum duration. The MMP displays have high contrast and low black luminance for visibility, even in brightly-lit areas. Backlight MTBF is 50,000 hours on the 18" monitor and 35,000 hours on the 15" unit.
