A new handheld wireless touch display interface is now available for the company’s FlexPAC family of portable computers. The optional mobile touch-screen wireless display communicates with the FlexPAC through a peer-to-peer 802.11b protocol up to 150' away, regardless of the application. The FlexPAC together with the wireless touch display targets test-and-measurement environments and other situations requiring a high performance, rugged solution. The FLexPAC attempts to provide a lightweight mobile interface. With a Pentium4 processor running at 2 GHz, system memory up to 1 GB and 16 MB of video memory, the FlexPAC is said to offer more computing power than some traditional portable solutions. It employs a tri-circuit cooling system that tolerates up to 150W of heat dissipation. Also, its temperature monitoring and speed sensitive fans cool while reducing noise. Up to six expansion slots are available for full-sized PCI or ISA add-in cards. DOLCH, Fremont, CA. (877) 347-4929.
