With support for analog sampling rates of 160 Msamples/s, the XMC/PMC-E2202 is a rugged and compact high-speed, quad-channel 16-bit digital receiver mezzanine card. The card, the latest in the XMC/PMC-E220x family of digital receiver cards, targets demanding signal-acquisition applications such as radar, software-defined radio, and signal intelligence platforms. Based on twin Virtex-5 FPGAs, the XMC/PMC-E2202 combines input bandwidth in excess of 700 MHz, a signal-to-noise ratio rated at greater than 77 dB, and high spectral purity. Its twin FPGA architecture dedicates a DSP FPGA for high-speed acquisition of the dual analog channel inputs. Memory support provided by this FPGA includes 16 Mbytes of ZBT RAM. The card’s second Command & Control FPGA provides high-speed I/O, including 64-bit/133 MHz PCI-X. Prices start at $13,950, and availability is in the third quarter.
