Providing the critical performance levels required in space-level systems, the SMV320C6701 assumes position as the industry’s first qualified manufacturer list (QML), Class V floating-point DSP. Also meeting MIL-PRF-38535 standards, the processor exhibits a total ionizing radiation dose tolerance up to 100 krad (Si). Features include an instruction cycle time of 7 ns, clock rate of 140 MHz, and the ability to execute eight 32-bit instructions per cycle and up to 840 MFLOPS. Pin compatible with the SMJ320C6701, the SMV320C6701 (order as 5962-9866101VXA) is available in a CBGA package with an operating temperature range from –55°C to 115°C. Price is $4,000 each/10.
