Development Kit Targets eXpressDSP

With the intent of eliminating the software gap between DSP algorithm research and implementation, the company and Texas Instruments (TI) have integrated MATLAB 6 and Simulink 4 with TI's eXpressDSP real-time software technology platform. This development kit provides engineers with the ability to gain access to DSP hardware and development tools for both real-time evaluation and optimization much earlier in the design cycle for TMS320 C6000 and TMS320 C5000 platforms of fixed and floating-point DSPs.
The MATLAB link provides data transfers between Code Composer Studio IDE and MATLAB, as well as direct access to CCS functions for controlling and debugging DSP applications. A link for real-time data exchange (RTDX) allows real-time data transfers to and from the DSP without halting the target application. Pricing starts at $1,000 for an individual PC license.
