Handling a range of portable applications, the 250-MHz FSA201 and 750-MHz FSA221 DPDT multimedia switches integrate both USB and negative-swing audio switching functionality into a single package. Said to exhibit the market’s widest negative-swing capability at -2V, the switches feature an on-resistance of 3Ω and 10 kV of ESD protection. The FSA201 USB 1.1, 12-Mb/s device is available in a 1.6 mm x 2.1 mm MicroPak, while the FSA221 USB 2.0, 480-Mb/s chip is also available in a UMLP measuring 1.4 mm x 1.8 mm x 0.55 mm. Other shared features include automatic VBUS detection with user override and power-off protection. Both devices are lead free. Prices for the FSA201 and FSA221 are $1.10 and $1.25 each/1,000.
